Control Deck Alpha

A special key-coded lift opens into a spacious room, filled with shining metal and a hundred computer screens on every wall, this room is obviously for those the top of their field who know what they're doing. Lights, indistinguishable to average people but obviously important somehow, flash occasionally alone panels the shining black. The creators obviously designed this room for functionality, not comfort or cosmetics. There are seats every few feet and one large seat in the middle with a range of buttons on the arm rests. There is, of course, a coffee machine in one wall.
